An interview with George H. Gay the sole survivor Torpedo Squadron Eight (VT-8).
This is an exclusive one hour interview that is the most complete and detailed account of his story that I’ve ever heard, and I’m his Grandson. I recovered it from a VHS Tape that was the only existing copy from his home office. It was recorded in the late 80’s and I felt that it needed to be preserved so I’m offering it on DVD. On it he gives his views on the TBD-1 Devastator, talks in detail about being on board the USS Hornet with the Dolittle Raiders during their secret mission and gave his complete account of what happened to Torpedo Squadron Eight plus much more.
